In the meantime, in addition to contacting your local authorities and shelters, be sure to share a Lost Dog flyer with vet offices and pet stores, and post your flyers on community boards and telephone poles. Check craigslist.org often and consider having yard signs printed at your local Staples or print shop. The yard signs politicians use to campaign - those are about $10-15 each and are great to place in your yard, especially if friends and neighbors will do the same.
